My Favorite Health Products For Immune Support

My Secret Obsession

I have to be honest, about 10 yrs ago I became obsessed with health products. I started researching, studying, learning about them, and testing and trying every new supposedly life changing supplements and products. I have spent way too much money, stayed up way too late many a night reading and studying the latest products, and have personally tried and tested just about every high quality supplement and products out there.

I did not do this because I was interested in selling these products, getting involved in the supplement industry, or because this was my area of expertise. I invested my time, money, energy, and used my own body as a trial because:

  1. I wanted to keep my family healthy and take a preventative stance against health problems
  2. I believed natural health remedies were trustworthy
  3. We had terrible health coverage that did not cover much except for catastrphoc incidents and so we NEVER went to the Dr.
  4. I just love finding solutions and natural health alternatives
  5. I wanted to prevent diseases, disorders, and keep our bodies as strong as possible
  6. I wanted to be able to recommend supplements and products to my clients. Often depression, anxiety, and emotional issues have a physiological component and nutritional deficiencies can be a factor. Resupplying the the body with the proper vitamins, minerals, and nutrition can have a positive affect on mental and emotional issues

So Where Did This Path Take Me?

So, now I have quite an extensive list of natural supplements, powders, products, essential oils, and natural remedies for just about any health issue or condition that exists.

I constantly suggest them to friends, family members, and clients. In fact, I have annoyed my own family by always talking about the latest alternative health product that I just recently discovered.

So, I Have to Share My Insight!

About a year ago, I ordered a bundle of Shaklee products. My daughter was having some stomach issues and an alternative health practitioner that I took her to, tested her for deficiencies and found out that she was defficient in some key nutrients. She also tested my daughter for which supplements would work the best for her, and my daughter tested positive for Shaklee vitamin B. My health practitioner suggested several different Shaklee supplements that we ordered and began using right away. Within 1 week, my daughter’s stomach issues disappeared, and I started taking the supplements as well. I ended up also purchasing their natural cleaning products and laundry detergent because my other daughter had a lot of allergies and I read that toxic cleaners and laundry soap can worsen allergies because they overload the immune system.

My family started taking the Shaklee chewable vitamin C’s and the multi-vitamins for men and women about a year ago. I was so thankful that we already had these at home when the world wide virus hit because Shaklee ran out pretty fast.

I do not sell Shaklee, but I am on the mailing list and have tried and researched a lot of their products. I was so excited when I recently received an email about their backordered products that would be available soo. I did not realize that Shaklee had disinfecting wipes and germicide spray. I have not been able to find any kind of wipes or disinfecting spray anywhere, not even on Amazon. I have been reluctant to even try to buy the common cleaning wipes that are available in the stores because of their toxicity. The toxic chemicals that are in the common cleaning wipes, while they do kill germs and bacteria acutally weaken the immune system. That is the last thing we need right now, to be locked inside our houses with toxic chemicals on all of our surfaces and floors.

I Was So Excited!

So, I will be ordering Shaklee’s cleaning wipes and their disinfecting spray. I am so thankful to find these. I also want to convey the importance of taking a Vitamin C for immune system support, but not just any Vitamin C. It has to be a high quality one with natural, organic ingredients, that have never been exposed to any toxins. Shaklee is trustworthy and guarantees their supplements to be in purest form.

What You Don’t Know About Happiness Can Cost You Everything!

I am so excited to share that I just held a live workshop this past Saturday as a pre-launch for my new curriculum called Transformed, Healed, and Free.  I was planning on spending all last week doing the last bit of preparation to make sure everything was organized and ready to be presented smoothly and effectively.

However, so many intrusions, interruptions, and interferences happened and my week leading up to my workshop went nothing like I planned.

I was planning to continue my blog last Monday and to share the next substances that are greater than happiness,  but my week went haywire.

To name a few situations … my daughter was in the hospital and I spent several days driving to and from Dr’s appointments, as well as mental and emotional stress from being concerned for her.

One of my current clients also had a crisis and needed emergency help.

Also, every kind of technical difficulty that can happen pretty much happened the day before my workshop which was being videoed.  We lost our car keys and couldn’t get into the building where I was holding my event because the key was on the set of car keys that my 2nd daughter misplaced – ugg! I was not able to set up ahead of time and there was a lot of extra stress and scrambling to pull off a great workshop.

But, All Is Well!

Just pressing through all the extra difficulty and relying upon and trusting God’s goodness  got me through the challenges.

My daughter is doing well and seems to have recovered from a supposed asthma attack, even though she does not have asthma.  We found the car keys and left the house at 6:00 a.m. to go set up before my workshop.  My whole family helped with that part.  I think we will be able to put together a good video with what we had to work with, and the event itself was wonderful.

It was a dream come true to release the message in my heart in a packaged course that will give anyone the steps they need to be transformed, healed, and free.  I am excited to get my course published online asap, so keep watch for it.

So,

now I am back in action and grateful to continue my blog series on Happiness.

I want to reveal the next 2 substances that are greater than and outlast mere happiness.

Greater Substances Cont’d…

2.   Faith –  a rich and timeless substance.

Faith is a substance that is life-giving to our internal state of being.  Faith is life-giving because yet again, faith transcends our earthly circumstances.  Regardless of whether they are good or bad, faith is sustainable and is not based on what we see happening. By faith, we can trust and know that there are aspects of our lives being orchestrated behind the scenes and God is working on our behalf even when we do not see it.  Faith gives us the motivation to persevere because we understand and believe that there are unseen components to our lives.

Just as I had to endure a crazy, exhausting, stressful, hectic week leading up to my workshop (that was very important to me), I clung on to faith because I knew that regardless of the badness, there were things at work that I was not able to see. I had faith to keep pushing through and override the stressors that were tempting into discouragement and negativity.

Now when I look back at the crazy week, I see only “minor interruptions” and my faith that kept me going.

3.  Hope is another substance that gives true motivation to endure hard times.  Hope keeps us going when we feel like giving up.  Hope is so powerful that it even elevates us up above discouragement or despair.  When we have hope, when can rejoice in our harships because it gives us a glimpse of the light at the end and we can sense that the other side of our adversity is out there, if we just continue to walk forward. Hope awakens us to the positive possibiliies that exist for us after coming through the other side of adversity.

Wow!

The substance of hope is one of the greatest that exists.  Hope, endurance, perseverance, and character all go together and the substance of hope is so valuable and powerful.  Anything that has great value is not easily obtainable or accessible.  That is what adds to the value.

Hope is not obtained easily or effortlessly.  It is obtained by facing distress, pressure, and trouble and pressing through and resolving to keep going until you come out the other side. You hold on to hope at all costs because it it produces endurance, perseverance, and strenghtens your character amidst the hardship.

The more we utilize hope and maintain it, the more of it we gain. It is a substance so great that once we really have it and mature in it, we become unstoppable and un discourageable.    Happiness becomes a wonderful experience that we enjoy, but our life does not depend on it and we rest knowing that we do not have to strive for it or make happiness our ultimate goal.

We can live and operate in any and every season of life with assurance and hope, without disappointment.

Happiness inevitably disappoints because it does not last forever.

Hope never disappoints and is everlasting!

So yes,

I hope and pray that you can allow faith and hope to take greater precedence over happiness.

After all,

This is key if you want to be well and live well!

Check in next Monday for my next post where I will share more on this subject and shed some light on the final greater substances.

Be Well, Live Well

Superior Substances to Happiness

I hear it all the time, ” I just want to be happy,”

or,

” I am doing this because it t makes me happy.”

We all make life decisions that are based on this concept of trying to stay happy.  It is human nature to chase this and want to stay there.

There is one little problem.

If you are seeking happiness yet avoiding discomfort, difficulty, or pain at all costs,  you may have momentary feelings of happiness that come and go but you would also end up feeling empty and unfulfilled and living a somewhat shallow life.

If you do not believe me, think about the concept of giving birth.  Everyone knows that the birthing process is difficult and painful.  Every woman knows this yet they willingly accept the process of giving birth because they know that it will result in something meaningful and that it is worth going through.  To bring forth another life is so miraculous and fulfilling and it leads to life satisfaction in the long run.

Or, what about a toddler who is learning to walk.  They will fall, hit their head a few times, and skin elbows and knees while they are learning.  Would it be beneficial to avoid walking because the learning process is difficult or painful?  Are the bumps and bruises and momentary feelings of unhappiness worth it?

Of Course, They Are!

They are worth it because every time the toddler falls or gets hurt, they are learning and developing balance and coordination, their muscles are getting stronger, and they are understanding how their body moves and what does and does not work.  This is such a valuable process and it would be a detriment and even ridiculous to avoid this and never learn to walk.

My point is,

it is not always beneficial to avoid pain and difficulty.  You may miss out on something that would add to your life after having gone through it.

If you have believed that staying happy is the end goal, I want to share some alternatives to happiness, some greater substances that last long term and are not conditional on happy circumstances.

There is Something Better, Stronger, and More Enduring!

  1.  Contentment/Satisfaction/Fulfillment

These are states of being that are not circumstantial.  They are greater and richer in substance and can be maintained and sustained through any experience or situation, whether good or bad.  It is possible to have fulfillment, satisfaction, and contentment all the time.

Now, these are real substances!

They are not attained through the avoiding pain, striving for happiness mentality.  They are cultivated through thankfulness, accepting a process that may be unpleasant or difficult, and persevering through until you come out the other side.

These inner substances are greater becasue they make it possible to recognize that our life has meaning and purpose, regardlesss of our circumstances and to see all of the good, even when going through a difficult time.

So, instead of seeking and striving for happiness, broaden your perspective, face whatever cicumstances come your way, embrace the growth process, and open your heart and mind to fulfillment, satisfaction, and contentment.  These last and really produce better fruit, both within and out.

I will be sharing more next week so check back in for the next substance that is superior to happiness.  I cannot wait to share the next one.

What is Happiness?

Happiness is a state of being.  It is a state that every human being seeks.

Happiness is an emotion that we have when we feel good and our life experiences are good.

Family walk on Butterfly Beach – makes me so happy
Embracing my role as a wife and mother, fully engaged and present – gives meaning and purpose

It is normal to try to orchestrate our lives around keeping a sense of happiness at all times.

No one enjoys feeling unhappy and no one would willingly let go of their happiness.

This all sound good, right?  The desire to be happy is what drives most of our thinking, our actions, and behaviors  Shouldn’t this be the driving force of our lives?

Does revolving our life around happiness really improve our lives, help us to grow, or cause us to feel more content?

Let’s Consider This:

Happiness is the good feeling we have when we get something good that we like or want or when our circumstances are pleasant.  Good experiences and good circumstances are wonderful gifts and give us necessary boosts in our journey of life.  But let me ask you this.

If happiness is based on circumstances, is it really a sustainable substance?

Is happiness something on which we can rely along the roller coaster of life?

The answer is quite obviously no. Happiness is temporary because It is based on wether or not our life is going well.  Difficult circumstances or life challenges can drown out happiness instinatiously, and shift our internal state into quite a negative one.

So, if an emotional state that is so vulnerable to external cicumstances is what we are constantly trying to achieve and maintain, it seems like we would be in a constant battle of fighting to avoid pain and unhappiness and expending all of our energy and focus striving to get back to happiness.

Furthermore, when you did feel happy for a while, you would start to worry about loosing that happy feeling at some point.

“Ugg, as I am writing this, I am feeling exhausted just thinking about it.”

Living this way seems like a continuous struggle that only gets you what you want temporarily and comes and goes whenever your cicumstances change.

If there was something else out there, some greater substances that were stronger and deeper, that transcended our life cicumstances, that remained and sustained you through any and every kind of experience and cicumstance, would you want to know about it?

Do You Really Just Want To Be Happy?

As you see, happiness is only temporary and quite shallow.  Happiness does not have substance because it is not realistically sustainable.

If you do not believe me, think of a little baby.  Babies cry when they are unhappy and they learn very quickly that when they cry, someone will come to their rescue and change their situation for them.  This system works quite well when they are newborns and need someone to care for them and help them.

However, would it make sense, to continue this as the baby got older?

Would it be beneficial to continuously cater to every unhappy moment, or to rush around fixing every situation where the baby was not happy, and to give the child anything and everything they wanted in order to keep the them happy?

Just living every moment to keep the baby happy, goodness that would be impossible.  What would happen if the baby never experienced displeasure, discomfort, or unhappiness and the parent just spent every second of their day trying to keep the baby in a state of happiness?  How do you think that baby would turn out later?  Would they be able to handle life, relationships, work, disappointment, challenges, etc…. ?

That baby would be so spoiled and sadly live a very shallow existence and feel discontent most of the time.

There is Something Better, Stronger, and More Enduring!

I want to share some alternatives to mere happiness:

I do not want this first post on the happiness topic to be too long and I do not want anyone to disengage or loose focus before I get to the best part.

So, I will be sharing the substances that are greater, deeper, and more lasting than happiness in my next few posts.

I am so excited to share this info with as many people as possibe and shed more light on happiness.

Look for my post next week and subscribe if you would like it in you inbox immediately when I post it.

Healthy Morning Habbit

1 habit every aspiring healed, free, and thriving individual should cultivate

What do healed, whole, and thriving individuals fully functioning in their true identity  do every morning… that others don’t?

A weird habit that gets them in a positive mindset and establishes their mode of operation for the day?

Have you noticed this…?

It seems like everyone and their mother’s dog is talking about how “HABITS are the key to your success” these days…

First it was cold showers…

Then it was Bulletproof coffee…

Next it’ll be replacing your shampoo with bacon grease

Well, there’s good reason that habits have gotten so much attention recently. See…

Habits are the bridge between

what you think and what you do

And in the age of information…

… when ANYTHING you could EVER want to know is just a “Hey Siri!” away…

… it has never been so needed, that we find constructive things to DO with all our information!

And that’s where habits come in;

They take the information in your head…

… and implant it in your daily doings.

Because we all know that *doing* something trumps *thinking* something every time!

Needless to say, I’m a BIG believer in changing your habits… and speaking of changing your habits… here’s one that has made a huge difference in my life:

Cultivate this quick and simple habit, and you’ll

Start each day in thriving and overcoming mode, with your thoughts and expectations aligned with the posistive flow of life and syncronized with the heart and mind of God.

No, I didn’t pull this from some “top 10 success habits” blog post…

I live this;

And it works.

Right upon waking up in the morning, before you put your feet on the floor or roll out of bed, start thinking of everything, and I mean everything, for which you are thankful.  Express your thankfulness and gratitude to God and say thank you for every thing you can think of, no matter how big or small.  Be thankful for the new day, that you have a warm bed, that you are alive, or any possible thing that comes to your mind.  Turn your thoughts to thankfulness and and be thankful for the blessings and opportunities that are headed your way that day. End this “time of cultivating thanfulness,” by declaring,  ” I will rejoice and be glad in this day that God has made.” By implementing this practice, you are actually choosing, with your will, how you will approach and respond to your day.

You see…

Everyday has a mixture of difficulties and challenges along with blessings and opportunities. It is up to you to decide on which of these you will focus and turn your attention. The truth is, wherever you place your focus, that is the area you empower.

Cultivating Thankfuness Habbit.  It trains your mind to align and agree with the good things and positive posibilities of life. which exist in in the thoughts and intentions of God’s heart.

  You see…

The plans and intensions that exist in the heart of God are good.  Establishing this one small habbit, shifts your mindset to expect these good plans to unfold in your day.  As a result, you will begin to notice the goodness and the small blessings throughout your day .  Even if things go wrong you will respond positively to stress because you will be more aware of the goodness and the blessings than the stress.

So try it out.

. Are you Depressed?

. Are you prone to getting discouraged and overwhelmed?

. Do you dread the day?

Then this morning habbit is transformational for you!

Yes, it may seem (and feel) counter-intuitive at first.

But after you really master it… I think you’ll find that it’s a great way to align with a positive flow … and establish a positive mindset that is eagerly anticipating goodness, instead of expecting things to go wrong.
